Cookies
This site sets no cookies. It stores one thing on your device — the language you chose — and it asks Google for two typefaces. That is the whole of it, and this page explains both.
What is on this page was read out of the site's own source. It is accurate for the site as it stands, and it stops being accurate the moment an analytics script, a chat widget or a tracking pixel is added.
The dates and the responsible entity still have to be filled in, and a lawyer should confirm the consent position in the last section.
01No cookies
There is no cookie on this site — not a necessary one, not a statistical one, not a marketing one. Nothing writes to document.cookie, which is why you were not asked to accept anything when you arrived.
That is a consequence of how the site is built rather than a promise about the future. If it changes, this page changes with it and a consent banner appears before anything loads.
02The one thing stored on your device
When you pick a language from the flag menu, the site writes it to your browser's local storage so the next page opens in the same language:
- komma-lang — a two-letter language code, for example
daorde - Set when — only when you actively choose a language
- Kept until — you clear your browser's site data; it has no expiry of its own
- Shared with — nobody; it never leaves your browser
It holds a preference you expressed on purpose, so it carries no identifier and cannot be used to recognise you. To remove it, clear site data for this domain in your browser settings — the site works exactly the same without it and simply opens in English.
03Google Fonts — the one request that leaves
The two typefaces, Mona Sans and Playfair Display, are fetched from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. To serve a font, Google has to receive your IP address, and that happens on every page load before you have clicked anything.
Google states that it sets no cookie for these requests. The IP address is still personal data, and it still leaves the EU, which is why it is named here rather than left out.
Hosting the two font files on our own server would remove the request altogether. [decide: self-host, or state the transfer basis in the privacy policy]
04What this site does not do
- No analytics — no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no tag manager
- No advertising or conversion pixels — no Meta, no LinkedIn, no Google Ads
- No session recording, heatmaps or A/B testing tools
- No chat widget, and no embedded video or map
- No profiling, and no building of a picture of you across visits
Our server keeps ordinary request logs, which is covered in the privacy policy.
05Why there is no consent banner
Consent is required for storing or reading information on your device unless it is strictly necessary or something you asked for. Nothing here is set without you asking: the language entry exists because you picked a language, and there is nothing else.
A banner that asked you to accept nothing would be theatre. [have counsel confirm this position, and revisit it the day a tool is added]
